This Nintendo Switch Traveler Deluxe Zelda Breath of the Wild Case Review may convince you it’s the one for you!
Ok, what we have here is the first review of a Switch Case possibly in the world by Blunty! Blunty reviews the Nintendo Switch Game Traveler Deluxe Travel Case- Zelda Breath of the Wild in Gray and it is just a handsome case. Very classy but thematic with Link BOTW embossed into the hard shell with just enough flair with a blue liner along the zipper. So for those who want elegant and mature but not boring and drab, this Zelda Switch Case may be perfect for you. Watch below to find out more or check out my write up of Blunty’s Review down below. This one looks promising!
This photo does not do the Embossed Link Justice, it really is stunning!
Nintendo Switch Game Traveler Deluxe Travel Zelda Case Review by Blunty
This first thing I noticed in Blunty’s review is how elegant and handsome the embossed Link looks on the top of the Switch Case. I mean it just is breath taking and the image on Amazon really doesn’t do it justice at all. The review really shows the craftsmanship in the etching of Link and the Breath of the Wild Logo. The stock photo on Amazon makes it look like its printed on the case but in the video it is so much more and kind of makes me want to buy this case even though I was lucky enough to land a Pre-order for the Master Edition and will have the Sheikah Eye Case, but I can’t deny how classy but yet thematic this case is.
This guy is built tough and is rigid as Blunty points out and demonstrates by punching and pressing on the Zelda Case. Very good news indeed! It seems to be made of a leather like material and it is definitely made to protect your Nintendo Switch which needs to be the main priority if we are being honest with ourselves. Blunty punches it pretty good a couple of times as you can tell by the thumping and it definitely convinced me that the case would protect my Switch.
Could it withstand a drop? I don’t know. The case probably could but the better question is can the Nintendo Switch withstand that type of jolt and shock inside of the case? Nintendo builds its portables to be super durable and tough as shown by this Gameboy that survived a Barracks Bombing during the Gulf War. With that big, beautiful 6.2″ screen on the Switch, I’m not sure how much punishment it really could take without cracking. Safe bet would be to get a amFilm Nintendo Switch Tempered Glass Screen Protector for Nintendo Switch which is one of the best if not the best screen protectors for the Switch. It is Tempered Glass which is stronger, easier to apply, and most importantly stronger again than a “sticker” film protector. Especially with reports of peoples’ Switches getting hairline scratches from “Switching” from portable to TV mode, it is just a good investment at $10.99
As Blunty points out there is a really cool blue zipper liner that adds some flair to the overall look of the case. Zelda Breath of the Wild blue if you will. I personally like it. Classy, elegant, but not boring! The Zelda Logo on the Zipper is also a nice touch.
All of these little details really add up and and show so much attention to detail which is pretty remarkable considering it only costs $19.99 on Amazon
Inside of the Nintendo Switch Traveler Deluxe Travel Zelda Case
So lets move on to what’s inside of the Switch Traveler Deluxe Zelda Case and it has some pleasant surprises for sure! It has a padded divider that acts as a Screen protector for your Switch as well as additional storage on the flip side with a zipper pouch. Typically this pouch would be used to store games but not with this case! In this pouch you can store a Switch charging cable, earbud headphones, credit card, and whatever else that will fit. It has a Velcro strap to keep it in place which is really handy as it will keep your Switch from falling out of the case accidentally when you get too eager to play Breath of the Wild
The Switch Traveler Deluxe Travel Zelda Case Game Storage and More!
So where the heck do you put your games you might be asking right about now? This is where it gets even cooler though, it has these secret compartments underneath where your Switch goes!!! As you can see from the video and the picture above, the Traveler Deluxe Case has a compartment to house the Joycon Straps which is something I didn’t really consider and it seems like its not a big deal, but it kind of is as you can’t store the Switch in the case with the Joycon Straps attached and it’s something that is good to have on hand as it makes the Joycons much easier to use as there is more to grab onto and not to mention the safety feature of using the straps. A very nice touch indeed. Another feature worth mentioning is the indentations for the triggers as pictured. This allows the Switch to lay flat in the case instead of being propped up by the trigger buttons.
The cases are that awesome blue that matches the zipper liner and also has matching Zelda Logos imprinted on the top of the game cases! These game cases will also ingeniously hold up to 4 Micro SD Memory Cards using a case within a case or nesting cases to maximize space.
And of course if you have way more than 8 games, nothing says you can’t put them into the zipper pouch but I would recommend getting another Switch game case to avoid losing the games as they are small and then putting that game case in the zipper pouch. Losing a Switch Game will not feel very nice especially if that game is Zelda Breath of the Wild because as of yesterday BOTW is completely sold out at Amazon.com and Gamestop and that is the regular edition. So if you lose your BOTW game, you will feel the pain of not only having to buy it again, but you might not be able to as it is SOLD OUT. So the Hori Zelda BOTW Game Card Case to the right is a a very handsome option that matches this RDS Traveler Deluxe Zelda Case perfectly! It actually holds 24 games which should be more than enough so in total you’ll be able to hold a whopping 32 games which should hold most people over for at least a little while 😉
Really really classy and themed at the same time which isn’t an easy thing to do. What is also very clever is how each of the game cases has another mini case that will hold 2 Micro SD Cards that takes up one of the Game slots. All in all this is a really great case that I believe is worth every penny of the $19.99 at Amazon. It protects your Switch quite well as it has a hard shell, protects the screen with the soft divider, holds 8 games, stores the Joycon wrist straps, has indentations for the Joycon Triggers, and a zipper pouch to boot to hold a charging cable, earbud headphones, more games, whatevers! And all of this while being handsome and elegant but yet Zelda themed with flair and brilliance. It also comes in Zelda Link Blue, Sheikah Eye Grey, Sheika Eye Blue and Classic Black! The etching of Link on the top cover is just so striking and the photos do not do it justice. Blunty’s Youtube video definitely helps to show just how cool the etching really is but my guess is that in person it’s just got to be something else.

I feel Blunty’s review of the Nintendo Switch Traveler Deluxe Zelda Breath of the Wild Case was well done. He gets to the heart of the matter very quickly by punching the case and pressing on it which establishes that it is indeed rigid and tough and will protect your Nintendo Switch which really is the main purpose of getting a Nintendo Switch Case in the first place. Blunty shows off the features of the case very clearly and shows off the etching of Link on the top by angling it numerous times. Showing the zipper blue liner and the zipper logo really show cases the attention to detail. But where Blunty’s review really shines is the interior of the case. He does a great job of showing off the divider and zipper pouch and then the compartments on the bottom of the case for the Games cards as well as the indentations for the Joycons. Really cool that he pointed out how the Game case can also store Micro SD Memory cards. All in all Blunty’s review of the Nintendo Switch Traveler Deluxe Zelda case was straight to the point and really well done and done in a manner that made it just fun to watch. Little things such as the camera going out of focus was rather irritating in parts as it was hard to see some of the features. Also reviewing the black case on a different colored surface instead of on black would have really helped me to see the case better as it was a little dark but those are minor things that are not a show stopper. Over all nice job Blunty and please keep them coming!
